Into the Heart Storm (Copy)

When I moved from Alice Springs to Tasmania, each morning I would awake to the view of kunyani/Mt Wellington. The mist, damp and moodiness were a contrast to the constancy and colour of the desert. My drawings became full of coastal imagery, seaweed, shells, sooty oyster catchers and hooded plovers. I explored themes of loss and dislocation, as well as awaking my senses to the nuances and undercurrents of a new landscape.
